School Track & Trace responsibility from 19 July 2021

Dear parent,

Following Government guidance regarding Track & Trace in schools, from Monday 19 July, schools will no longer carry out routine contact tracing. From this point onwards, close contacts will be identified and contacted by NHS Test and Trace.

This means that from Monday 19 July, if your child tests positive for COVID you should still inform the school for attendance reasons, but you must call NHS on 119 to report the case, who will undertake Track and Trace duties. The school will no longer carry out this duty.

In addition, if you have concerns about your child being in close contact with a student with a confirmed positive result, from Monday you must direct your concern to NHS on 119 rather than the school.

Thank you.
